Sierra
No. 5-ranked Riverside City College closed out the Delta Women's Invitational with another pair of wins, beating No. 4-ranked American River College 19-9 and Sierra 15-9.
The Tigers – who move to 10-4 overall – doubled their opponents' scoring output 68-to-34 over the four games.
Riverside opened with a 19-9 victory over ARC, scoring seven straight goals to set the tone early.
Yosra Elseifi led the Tigers with eight goals and had six steals, while Angelina Beall followed with seven goals. Madison Faulkner found the back of the cage twice for RCC, which also saw Natalia Jaime and Brooklyn Wagner capitalize.
Alyssa Cortez made six saves in the cage for RCC.
The Tigers followed with a 15-9 win over Sierra. The Wolverines kept things close early until Riverside scored five unanswered goals to jump out to an 11-6 lead and never looked back.
Elseifi and Beall each scored seven times, while Faulkner rattled in the other goal for the Tigers.
Once again, Cortez made six saves in the cage to keep Riverside in the game.
RCC returns to Orange Empire Conference action on Wednesday, heading to No. 6-ranked Golden West College for a 1:15 p.m. contest.
