The RCC Women's Water Polo Team continued competition in day 2 of the Chaffey Tournament
The Tigers opened up this morning with Cerritos and quickly jumped out to a 7-1 lead. Sophomore Megan Geurts led the way with 6 goals and Nikki Bell added 4 more as the Tigers won 15-5. Katia Montoya had 5 saves in the cage in 2 quarters of play.
In the afternoon game, the Tigers matched up with Ventura college. They started slow leading 3-1 at the end of the first quarter, but came alive in the second quarter stretching their lead to 11-2 at half. Freshman Nikki Bell had 8 goals and freshman Alia McMorris tallied 6 more. Summer Reyes had 9 saves in the goal in 3 quarters of play.
The Tigers improve to 9-0 on the season. Nikki Bell leads the team in scoring this season with 52 goals in 9 games. Alia McMorris and Megan Geurts each have 27 goals on the season.
