
Tigers Score Big in OEC Ranked Matchup

Aleira Valenzuela got the ball rolling for Riverside after scoring less than 30 seconds into the contest as RCC jumped out to a 10-3 cushion at halftime.
Yosra Elseifi led the Tigers with seven goals, followed by Chandler Burrell's three goals. Presley Burrell and Samantha Thomas each added two goals, while Kaia Boone, Nicole Robertson, Ava Brown and Abigail Ruiz also got in on the scoring action.
Tea Summers picked up the win in the cage for the Tigers, making seven saves, while Kirsten Maag added five saves.
RCC returns home to host a mini tournament on Friday, facing top-ranked Long Beach City College first thing Friday morning. The Tigers are looking for redemption as the Vikings are the only blemish on their record with a 9-7 loss early in the year. The top teams are set to battle at 8:30 a.m. before RCC takes on seventh-ranked San Diego Miramar later in the day at 1:30 p.m.
