Women's Water Polo is headed to the State Championships Nov. 22 & 23
The RCC Women's Water Polo team was back in action at the Southern California Regional Championships today. In the semi-final game this morning the Tigers matched up with Fullerton. The Tigers went down early and trailed 4-7 at half, but 6 second half goals from freshman Nikki Bell led the team on an 8-1 run and a 12-8 victory. With the win the Tigers qualify for the State Championships. They were led by Bell with 7 goals and freshman Alia McMorris with 3 goals.
In the Championship game the Tigers lost a close one to Golden West by a score of 8-10. Sophomore Megan Geurts and Nikki Bell each had 3 goals in the effort.
The Tigers are now 27-4 on the season and will play in the State Championships November 22 & 23 hosted by RCC.
