
Tigers Dominate Owls in Morning Mashup
Fresh off one dominating victory, second-ranked Riverside City College didn't take its foot off the pedal and grabbed an 11-2 win at Citrus College Thursday morning.
The Tigers steamrolled to their ninth-straight win, improving to 15-1 overall.
Sofia Mather picked up the victory for the Tigers, making six saves, while Kirsten Maag posted two saves in the cage.
Chandler Burrell led Riverside with four goals, while Annabella Storar dished out three assists. Yosra Elseifi (two goals), Aleira Valenzuela, Nicole Robertson, Ava Brown, Presley Burrell and Abigail Ruiz also scored for RCC.
Riverside wasted little time and scored three goals in the first period before adding another two before the Owls could get on the board.
The Tigers built a 6-1 lead at halftime and cruised to the 11-2 result with two goals in the third and three in the fourth.
RCC heads north to the Delta Women's Invitational Friday and Saturday, taking on Sierra College first at 8:15 a.m. on Friday.
