Orange Coast College prevented the series sweep with a 13-3 victory over Riverside City College Friday afternoon.
The Tigers slip to 18-9 overall and 4-5 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Pirates improve to 11-15 on the year, 6-3 in conference.
Five Tigers finished with hits in the game, with Dylan Nelson (2-for-4), Parker Sobiesiak (2-for-3), and Alex Gamez (2-for-3) each knocking two hits. Ian Nguyen (1-for-4) and Carter Wood (1-for-3) also had hits for the Tigers.
Riverside takes a break from conference action next week, hosting Santa Barbara on Thursday at 3 p.m.
