Riverside City College couldn't hold on in a 7-6 loss at Grossmont College Monday afternoon.
The Tigers drop to 9-4 overall, while the Griffins improve to 8-4 on the year.
Four Tigers had hits in the game with Logan Clear (2-for-4) and Marc DiCarlo Jr. (2-for-2) each hitting two. Malakai Lopez (1-for-4) and Eddie Alfaro (1-for-2) also had hits for RCC.
Grossmont scored first but Riverside took the lead in the sixth with four runs on four hits. With two runners on and one out, Clear tripled to left field to send two runners in. Dylan Nelson sacrificed a fly ball to tack on another run before DiCarlo Jr. blasted a home run to right field.
However, the Griffins stole the game away in the bottom of the ninth to walk away with the win.
