
Riverside Dominates Second Game of OEC Series with Fullerton

No. 11-ranked Riverside City College won two in a row as it visited Fullerton College, grabbing a 12-2 blowout victory.
The Tigers improve to 20-10 overall and 7-4 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Hornets drop to 15-15 on the year, 5-6 in conference.
RCC got the scoring started in the third inning with Ian Nguyen's base hit to center field to make the score 1-0.
Bubba Hiedler (3-for-4) added another run in the fourth inning with an RBI single into right center to put the Tigers up 2-0.
RCC scored four runs in the top of the seventh, with one RBI coming from Jake Monsen and a three-run home run from Alex Gamez (2-for-5) to give the Tigers a comfortable 6-0 lead.
The Hornets cut down the deficit in the bottom of the seventh as they scored two runs to pull within 6-2, but the Tigers scored three more runs in the eighth from Logan Clear (2-for-5), Nguyen (2-for-2), and Daniel Rivera (1-for-1) to take back their cushion, 9-2.
RCC continued to up its lead with two runs in the ninth inning as both Clear and Sebastian Villegas drove in runs.
Jorge Rodriguez started on the mound for RCC and picked up the win after throwing five shutout innings. Evan Stratton came in to finish the last four innings and picked up the save.
The Tigers look to grab their first OEC series sweep on Saturday as the Hornets return to Evans Sports Complex for the series finale at 12 p.m.
