
Tigers Pick Up Second-Straight Dominating Win
For the second-straight game, Riverside City College got its bats hot and dominated an 11-2 victory over Palomar College.
The Tigers improve to 9-2 on the year, while the Comets drop to 7-5 overall.
RCC finished with 13 hits, led by Bubba Heidler's 3-for-5 performance at the plate. Dylan Nelson (2-for-4) and Ian Nguyen (2-for-5) also had multiple hits for the Tigers.
The Tigers all but sealed the 11-2 victory with four runs in the bottom of the seventh to increase their lead to 11-1.
With one out and two runners on, Sebastian Villegas drilled a single to center field to allow Nguyen to come home before Eddie Alfaro knocked a double RBI single. Alfaro then came home on a Logan Clear grounder to secure the win for Riverside.
Jorge Rodriguez grabbed the win for the Tigers, tossing four strikeouts in seven innings of action. He allowed just two hits and no earned runs on the mound.
