Baseball Records Season High Marks in Rout Over LA Harbor

It was pure domination for the Riverside City College men's baseball team as they played host to the Los Angeles Harbor Seahawks on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action. The Tigers barreled 17 hits and plated a season-high 18 runs leading to an 18-0 victory.

Riverside's bats were scorching hot as they uncorked a season-high 17 hits leading to a season-high 18 runs. The top of the order was responsible for the bulk of the damage as the first four batters went a combined 10-for-15 and were responsible for 14 of the team's 18 runs. Leading the pack was sophomore right fielder Ulises Caballero. He went 3-for-5 with two RBI and four run scored. Sophomore center fielder Junior Coleman crossed the plate four times while barreling two hits and swiping a season-high three bags.

Freshman designated hitter Dylan Morace was a perfect 3-for-3 at hte dish as he was a homerun away from completing the cycle. He recorded a single, double and triple leading to a team-high five RBI. Freshman third baseman Matthew Ivancich turned over the lineup efficiently in the nine hole by going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Sophomore starting pitcher Garrett Irvin was granted the start and was nearly untouchable. Aside from giving up a hit in the second inning, he was masterful by striking out the side on two separate occasions leading to a career-high 10 punch outs while throwing just 69 pitches in six innings of work.

A bullpen consisting of freshman trio Lawrence Castaneda, Drew D'Ambra and Ethan Sachs slammed the door behind him after each tossing an inning and allowing no hits.

Riverside (12-4) will continue action on Wednesday, February 27 against the Ventura College Pirates at 2 p.m. Follow live stats at www.rccathletics.com
