Two Tigers, Two Doubles Teams Earn All-American Honors

Riverside City College finished the year as the No. 3-ranked team in the 3C2A and saw two singles players and two doubles teams earn All-American honors.

Michael Chang and Ronith Sreeram picked up All-American singles honors, while Chang and Lance Lao and Sreeram and Augustin Daubannay grabbed doubles team honors.

Chang finished the year as the No. 4-ranked singles player in the State and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the state championship. He was named the ITA/3C2A Sophomore of the Year and finished with a 17-4 record as an individual.

Sreeram ends the year ranked No. 8 in singles action after advancing to the 3C2A State Championship Sweet 16. He finished the year with a 17-4 individual record and was named the ITA/3C2A Rookie of the Year.

Chang and Lao advanced to the semifinals of the 3C2A State Championship and finished the year as the No. 3-ranked team. The duo finished the year with a 16-8 record as a pair.

Sreeram and Daubannay also advanced to the state championship semifinals and finished as the No. 5 team in the ITA/3C2A doubles rankings. They finished the year with an 18-6 record.

RCC also saw Daubannay end the year at No. 17, Giovanne Recchia at No. 34, Charalampos Plataniotis at No. 38 and Lao at No. 42 in the singles rankings, while Recchia/Harry finish their rookie season as a doubles pair ranked No. 11 in the State.
