
Tigers Come From Behind to Beat Four-Year Gusties
Riverside City College battled to grab a 5-4 victory over four-year school Gustavus Adolphus College Friday afternoon.
The Tigers improve to 10-3 overall, while it was a scrimmage for the Gusties.
Giovanne Recchia/Charalampos Plataniotis won their doubles match on a tiebreaker, but the Tigers went into singles action trailing 2-1.
Recchia and Plataniotis also won their singles matches, along with Ronith Sreeram before it all came down to Michael Chang in the No. 1 spot. Chang battled his opponent and won on the tiebreaker to give the Tigers the victory.
RCC returns to Orange Empire Conference action next week, heading to Irvine Valley College on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
