RCC Grabs Fifth-Straight Victory

No. 4-ranked Riverside City College picked up its fifth-straight win with a 9-0 victory over Saddleback College Tuesday afternoon.

The Tigers improve to 9-3 on the year and remain undefeated in Orange Empire Conference action at 4-0. The Bobcats slip to 3-6 overall, 0-4 in OEC action.

Giovanne Recchia and Charalampos Plataniotis dominated their doubles match and finished first to set the Tigers up early.

Recchia went on to keep his opponent scoreless in his singles match (6-0, 6-0), while Austin Daubannay and Lance Lao also swept their singles matches.

RCC takes a break from conference action on Friday, hosting four-year program Gustavus Adolphus, the No. 16-ranked team in NCAA Division III.
