
RCC Competes at UCSD Triton Invitational
Riverside City College competed against tough competition at the UCSD Triton Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Celeste Mendoza grabbed seventh in the 10K, crossing the finish line in 43 minutes, 46.14 seconds.
Nadia Munoz finished just outside the top 10 in the 5K, taking 11th with a time of 18:24.09.
Taleyah Graves took 11th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.01.
Catalina Teran posted a time of 25.06 seconds in the 200-meter dash to take 19th overall. She also grabbed 18th in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 12.17 seconds.
Savanna Martin and Audianna Salgado came one right after the other in the 3K steeplechase, posting respective times of 14:25.95 and 14:31.04.
Victoria Redd finished 18th overall in the discus with a mark of 39.75 meters.
Kierstin Marpaung posted a time of 15.31 seconds to finish in the top 20 of the 100-meter hurdles.
The Tigers' 4x100 relay team (Hernandez, Teran, Rivers, Talia Washington) finished eighth overall in 47.48 seconds – which was the fastest time of their heat. The 4x400 team took third overall with a time of 3:52.43.
RCC heads to the Mt. San Antonio College Invite next weekend before shifting its focus to the postseason.
