
Tigers Host RCC Early Bird Meet
Riverside City College hosted the RCC Early Bird Invite Friday against some tough opponents and saw some strong performances.
Taleyah Graves won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of one minute, 8.01 seconds.
Nadia Munoz took second in the two-mile with a time of 11:47.01 and sixth in the mile, crossing the finish line in 5:29.61.
Kierstin Marpaung (9.16 seconds) and Joace Warrior (9.20 seconds) finished second and third, respectively, in the 60-meter hurdles. Marpaung also took third in the high jump with a mark of 1.40 meters, following Beau Hocking's 1.50 meters, and second in the triple jump (10.49 meters).
Warrior took second in the long jump with a jump of 5.35 meters.
Victoria Redd won the discus with a throw of 39.88 meters and led three Tigers in the shot put with a toss of 11.54 meters to take third overall, while Nyah Brown took fourth (11.07 meters) and Skylar Svidergol grabbed fifth (10.83 meters).
Esra Mor grabbed second in the hammer (42.27 meters) and took third in the discus (35.40 meters).
Kiarah Rivers won her heat in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.92 seconds and took seventh overall. She then took sixth in the 300-meter race with a time of 42.45 seconds.
The Tigers head to the Ron Kamaka Multi next at Mt. San Antonio College on Thursday and Friday, while also competing at the OEC Invitational on Friday at Orange Coast College.
