
Tigers Take on Tough Conditions at RCC Open
Riverside City College competed in wet conditions at the RCC Open on Friday, still seeing solid performances.
Kiarah Rivers took third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.40 seconds, while Catalina Teran grabbed third in the 200-meters with a time of 25.53 seconds. Teran also posted a third-place finish in the long jump (5.15 meters).
Taleyah Graves finished third in the 400-meters in 59.08 seconds.
Nadia Munoz grabbed fifth in the 1500-meter race, crossing the finish line in 5:00.54 and followed with a third-place finish in the 3,000 meter with a time of 10:52.49.
Kiersin Marpaung took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.15 seconds. She also grabbed third in the high jump with a mark of 1.42 meters and took second in the triple jump at 11.13 meters.
Victoria Redd took fifth in the shot put, tossing it for 11.43 meters on her second try. She also took second in the discus with a mark of 36.36 meters.
The Tigers head to the Arnie Robinson Invitational and the Mangrum Invite next weekend, hoping to keep building momentum for postseason.
