
RCC Competes at Two Meets
Riverside City College split time at two different meets on Friday: the Mangrum Invitational, hosted by Cal State San Marcos, and the Arnie Robinson Invite, hosted by San Diego Mesa College.
Mangrum Invitational
Kiarah Rivers took fifth overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.14 seconds. She then finished just outside the top-10 with an 11th-place finish in the 200-meter race, clocking in at 25.27 seconds.
Taleyah Graves grabbed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 1:05.94.
The Tigers' 4x100 relay team (Talia Washington, Catalina Teran, Rivers, and Sarah Hernandez) took fifth with a time of 48.17 seconds.
Victoria Redd finished eighth in the shot put with a mark of 11.47 meters and grabbed ninth in the discus with a toss of 38.17 meters. Esra Mor finished right behind Redd in the discus with a mark of 36.82 meters to take 10th, while Nyah Brown grabbed 11th (35.79 meters).
Mor took sixth in the hammer, hurling a mark of 40.37 meters. Skylar Svidergol took 11th (36.05 meters) and Alexandra Franco grabbed 12th (34.16 meters).
Arnie Robinson Invite
Nadia Munoz won the 10K with a time of 38:21.13 and saw her teammate Celeste Mendoza cross the finish line not far behind her, posting a time of 42:43.75 to take third.
Joace Warrior took second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.43 seconds, while Elizabeth Hammond took eighth (19.03 seconds). Hammond grabbed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.03 and Kayla Franz finished in eighth after posting a time of 1:22.39.
Savanna Martin and Audianna Salgado finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 3K steeplechase. Martin finished in 14:05.48, while Salgado clocked in at 14:51.81.
Jaiden Kelly and Zoriada Vega both finished in the top 10 of the 800-meter race, with Kelly clocking in at 2:34.81 to take seventh and Vega posting a time of 2:43.31 to take 10th.
Beau Hocking finished just outside the top 10 in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.10 seconds, while Warrior was just .03 seconds behind in 12th. Hocking also took 11th in the 200-meter race with a time of 27.52 seconds and grabbed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.40 meters.
Warrior won the long jump with a mark of 5.32 meters and finished ninth in the high jump (1.30 meters).
Patricia Hernandez finished the 400-meter race in 1:05.38 to take 11th place. Citlaly Ruiz also grabbed 11th in the 5K, clocking in at 19:56.70.
The Tigers' 4x400 relay team (Lauren Hughes, Hocking, Hernendez, Kelly) took third in 4:22.18.
