
RCC Takes Sixth at Second Home Meet
Riverside City College hosted the RCC Invitational on Friday and saw several top-five finishes.
The Tigers scored 55 points to take sixth overall, beating out local four-year schools UC Riverside (seventh) and California Baptist University (eighth). UC San Diego won the meet with 136 points.
Taleyah Graves took second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of one minute, 5.09 seconds.
Joace Warrior grabbed third in the long jump, finishing with a jump of 5.68 meters.
Jazmin Ambriz finished third in the javelin with a mark of 20.91 meters.
Kierstin Marpaung finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking in at 14.83 seconds.
Victoria Redd took fourth in the shotput with a mark of 12.16 meters and finished fifth in the discus (38.90 meters).
The Tigers head to the Ben Brown Invitational next weekend at Cal State Fullerton.
