Men's Water Polo Suffers First Conference Loss
The Riverside City College Men's Water Polo team suffered their first conference loss on Wednesday to Orange Coast College by a score of 11-12. After ending the first quarter with a 4-3 lead, the Tigers dominated the game over the next two periods defensively, holding the Orange Coast Pirates to only two goals in the second and third quarters. However, after going up 11-5 on a goal from Freshman Jeremy Foster in the first minute of the fourth quarter, the stronghold the RCC men had on the game seemingly became unglued as the Pirates scored seven unanswered goals and hand RCC their toughest loss of the season.
In the match, RCC was led by Freshman Reese Verdayou and Sophomore Christopher Forte, each with 3 goal. In the goal, Sophomore standout, Nicho Morabito had 11 saves and 3 steals. The RCC Tigers drop their record to 5-3; 1-1 in Conference.
