It was no question that the lack of Riverside City College men's track and field left a void in the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Championships a year ago. However, the Tigers were back in full force and reestablished their dominance by hauling in the 2022 title in a familiar fashion.

The Tigers boat raced the competition by earning a massive 434 points which was 247.5 points better than second-place Orange Coast. Saddleback placed third with 83 points.

Abel Ramos and Gavyn finished consecutively in the 5000 M with Ramos (15:40.84) finishing a couple of seconds ahead of Condit (15:42.75) for the top spot. Gonzalo Sanchez placed first in the 1500 M (4:00.54), while Mario Tavares (4:01.10) finishing close behind in a photo finish.

Sanchez continued on to snap the tape in the 800 M (1:55.98) with Kyle Reden (1:56.60) and Michael Holland (1:59.00) following close behind to sweep the podium.

Joshua Hornsby continued to pace the state in the 110 M Hurdles (14.57) to earn the gold medal, while Matthew Siggins (14.70) finished close behind. Tyler Howard got in on the gold medal action in the hurdles events with a first place mark in the 400 M Hurdles (53.26).

Dominic Boykins was tabbed the fastest on the track by earning a top mark in the 100 M (10.77) while placing third in the 200 M (22.10).

The Tigers snapped the tape in the 4 x 100 M Relay (41.76) by beating second place Orange Coast by a full second. They followed by earning a top mark in the 4 x 400 M Relay (3:17.93) by three seconds.

Colin Orlando earned the gold medal in the Pole Vault (15' 1") to kick off the field events. Donal Aluesi continued his reign as the top thrower in the conference and one of the best in the state with a gold medal in the Discus (152' 3").
