
RCC Sees Wins at OEC Previre
Riverside City College competed at the Ron Kamaka Decathlon and the OEC Preview Meet, hosted by Orange Coast College.
At the Ron Kamaka, Xavier Harvey took sixth place overall in the decathlon with 5603 points. Jack Slavin also placed in the top 10 with 5278 points to take 10th. Former Tiger Sam Willis won the event with 6432 points for Cal Poly Pomona.
Tschaikowsky Brown won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.29 seconds, while Rowan Hudson took second in 15.83.
Marcellus Linton won the 400-meter, clocking in at 50.20 seconds.
RCC swept the top three spots in the 800-meter, with Luke Catherwood leading the group at 2:03.82. Nathan Luce followed in second at 2:04.24, while Dyeem Tolbert posting a time of 2:05.30 for third.
Daniel Agbelusi won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.09 seconds while Ahkil McClellan followed in 57.81 seconds for second.
Kailil O'Brien took first in the 500-meter, finishing in 15:48.48.
Adam Torres won the hammer with a toss of 48.10 meters on this third attempt. Isaiah Butler won the shot put (14.55 meters) after hitting it on his final try. Butler also took first in the discus with a mark of 46.97 meters.
The Tigers' 4x100 team of Jarius Midgett, Mason Robertson, Aaron Lujan and Lancer Durazo won in 42.12 seconds.
Riverside returns home to host the RCC Invitational on Friday.
