
RCC Sees Top-10 Performances at Ben Brown
Riverside City College competed at the Ben Brown Invitational, hosted by Cal State Fullerton, and saw multiple top 10 finishes.
Kailil O'Brien posted a time of nine minutes, 40.55 seconds to take third in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
Isaiah Butler finished third in the hammer, finishing with a toss of 52.73 meters. Adam Torres followed in fourth with a mark of 52.21 meters. Butler also grabbed third in the discus with a throw of 52.23 meters. Joseph Garcia followed with a mark of 46.90 meters (sixth) and Jace Collins posted a throw of 45.08 meters (ninth).
Daniel Agbelusi grabbed a top-five finish in the 400-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 55.10 seconds to take fourth.
Rowan Hudson took seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.14 seconds, Marcellus Linton finished seventh overall in the 200-meter dash (21.29 seconds), while Devyn Smith took seventh in the triple jump (13.78 meters).
Bryson Williamson grabbed eighth in the high jump, posting a mark of 1.91 meters.
Anthony Ruiz finished in the top 10 of the 1500-meter run, finishing in 3:59.75 to take 10th. Ruiz also took 10th in the 800-meter with a time of 1:55.16.
James Henderson took eighth in the javelin (42.54 meters).
RCC returns home to host the RCC Open on Friday.
