Zheng Grabs All-State With Top 6 Placing at 3C2A Championship

Riverside City College saw two individuals battle for the 3C2A Men's Golf State Championship Sunday and Monday at a tough Sandpiper Golf Club.

After the first day, Ronny Zheng sat tied for 22nd with a 77, but battled back on Monday and shaved eight strokes off to post the lowest score of the two days with a three-under, 69. It gave him a 146 total score, putting him sixth overall to earn All-State honors and was just two strokes off first place.

Vincent Chen also made improvements on his first-round score after sitting tied for 54th with an 83 on the first day. On Monday, Chen carded a 77 to put his two-round total to 160 and put him tied for 45th overall.
