
Riverside Struggles in Final Match Before OEC Championships
Riverside City College struggled Monday in its last match before the Orange Empire Conference Championship later this week.
The Tigers finished with a 415 to take seventh as a team. Orange Coast College won the event with a 382, while Mt. San Antonio College took second (387) and Cypress College grabbed third (388).
Carson Escobedo led RCC with an 80, followed by both Brayden Gilpin and Caden Rossi, who both carded 83s. Tray Al-Shurafa finished with an 84 and Rigo Navarro posted an 85. Elijah Gonzales' 87 was thrown out of the team score.
RCC heads to the Costa Mesa CC early Wednesday morning for the OEC Championship, which will be 36 holes.
