
Tigers Finish Just Outside Top Three at OEC #8
Riverside City College carded a 391 as a team to take fourth at the eighth Orange Empire Conference meet of the season, hosted by Cuyamaca College.
Cypress College won the event with a 379, while Cuyamaca took second and Orange Coast College grabbed third with a 387 – just four strokes in front of the Tigers.
Elijah Gonzales led the Tigers with a 76 on the day, while Tray Al-Shurafa was just one stroke behind his teammate with a 77. Caden Rossi and Carson Escobedo both finished with 78s and Rigo Navarro rounded out the scorers with an 82. Brayden Gilpin was RCC's drop score with an 87.
Riverside has one more regular-season competition, heading to the College of the Desert's Bermuda Dunes Country Club next Monday, before postseason begins on Wednesday at the Costa Mesa Country Club.
