
Riverside Lands Top Three at SoCal Preview
The Riverside City College women's cross country team hit the road for a miniature playoff feel as the competed at the Southern California Preview on Friday morning in Bakersfield, CA. The Tigers placed seventh overall with three runners landing in the top-20.
Sophomore Elani Huntley paced the Tigers for the second-consecutive week after placing eighth overall at a time of 19:33.40. Freshman Dakota Zamarripa was the next-best finisher after placing 55th overall at a time of 22:15.40, while freshman Alma Vasquez was the third-best finisher at 59th with a time of 22:15.40.
Freshman Danielle Torres rounded out the top-60 with a time of 22:41.93. Freshman Gabriella Avila (23:04.92) and freshman Lidia Barrios (23:05.12) finished 68th and 69th, respectively.
