Riverside Grabs Sixth Shutout of the Year

Riverside City College grabbed its second-straight Orange Empire Conference victory Thursday afternoon, sweeping Fullerton College 9-0.

With their sixth shutout of the year, the Tigers improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Hornets slipped to 4-3 on the year and 1-2 in the OEC.

All three RCC doubles teams dominated their matches with identical 8-1 victories to put the Tigers up 3-0 early.

Janine Kremling and Madison Reynoso didn't allow a single point from their singles opponents (6-0, 6-0), while Denise Campbell gave up just one point in her match (6-0, 6-1).

Riverside continues conference action on Tuesday, heading to Saddleback College for a 2 p.m. match.
