Tigers Ready to Take on State Championship Meet

Riverside City College's men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the 3C2A State Championship Meet on Saturday at Woodwark Park, as the Tiger men are looking for their first State Championship since 2016.

Conditions might be a little sloppy since its forecasted to rain in Fresno before and during the races tomorrow. The women are set to get going at 10 a.m., while the men will follow at 11 a.m.

Both RCC teams come off a fourth-place finish at the SoCal Regional to qualify as a team for the state meet. Kailil O'Brien is looking to add some hardware after winning the individual Orange Empire Conference championship. Anthony Ruiz has kept pace with his teammate and took second at the conference championship.

The Tiger women look to compete for their first State Championship and are led by Nadia Munoz. Most recently the sophomore took 10th overall at the SoCal Regional to help Riverside qualify as a team for the 3C2A State Championship.
