Riverside Grabs Fourth at Regional, Qualifies for State

Riverside City College took fourth at the SoCal Regional Championship Friday and qualified for the 3C2A State Championship.

Kailil O'Brien posted a solid time of 20 minutes, 58.5 seconds to take sixth overall and earn himself All-Region honors. Anthony Ruiz finished in 21:24.8 to take 24th individually, followed by Daniel Nava in 21:37.2. Martin Torres-Sandoval (21:46.6), Jorge Guillen (21:53.4), and Damion Spralls (21:54.3) rounded out the Tigers in the top 50.

Riverside heads to Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif., for the State Championship on Nov. 23.
