Men’s Cross Country Places Top Five at Manny Bautista Invite

The Riverside City College men's cross-country squad traveled down south to San Diego, CA to compete in the Manny Bautista Invite on Friday morning. The meet featured some of the strongest competition in the state with the Tigers placing fifth overall.

Riverside had three runners score in the top-25 highlighted by no other than sophomore speedster Gavyn Condit.

Condit, for the fifth-consecutive time this season, has placed in the top five with a fourth-place finish with a time reading 20:27.61. It was a close race to land on the podium, but he fell short of his third-consecutive top-three finish by a mere three seconds.

Freshman Ernesto Ruiz placed 25th overall with a mark of 21:23.49, while sophomore Kyle Reden broke into Riverside's top three with a 28th place finish at 21:27.45.

Sophomore Nicandro Rosas placed 37th overall with a clip reading 21:39.51, while freshman Vincent Navarro rounds out the top five with a time of 21:46.88 to land him 43rd overall.
