Tigers Mourn Loss of Chelsea Bollinger
Riverside City College is mourning the loss of former women's tennis student-athlete Chelsea Bollinger, who played for the Tigers in 2013 and 2014.
The Riverside native left a lasting impression on head coach Nikki Bonzoumet as she recalls Bollinger as the team's biggest cheerleader and someone who helped a lot around the office and tennis courts.
"Chelsea's Tiger family was so sad to hear the news of her passing," said Bonzoumet. "She was one of a kind and was the most caring, sweet, thoughtful person to everyone she met. She was always the first to practice/matches and the last to leave. If her teammates needed anything, she would get it for them and she was always cheering her teammates on. Even after all these years, I can still picture her with the team and all the great times we all had."
RCC Athletics sends its thoughts and prayers to the Bollinger family, Chelsea's fiancé, friends and teammates, and the entire Tiger community.
