Tigers Earn ITA Academic Honors

After a solid year on the court, Riverside City College also earned academic recognition off the court. The Tigers were named a 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, while eight individuals were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Alexandra Livingston, Emily Thieme, Jaidyn Gayman, Janine Kremling, Kaden Richards, Katherine Alvarez, Madison Reynosa, and Monica Carrillo picked up the Scholar-Athlete honor.

This year, 123 women's tennis student-athletes from two-year institutions were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 21 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction. To be named a Scholar-Athlete, athletes must boast a 3.5 grade point average or higher on a 4.00 scale for the current academic year and be eligible to compete. Teams must have a combined 3.2 GPA or higher to be named an ITA All-Academic Team.
