Riverside City College closed out its home season with an 82-64 loss to Cypress College.
The Tigers drop to 11-15 overall, 2-8 in the Orange Empire Conference. The Chargers improve to 18-8 on the year, 7-3 in conference.
Two sophomores were honored before tip-off and had solid games. Nave'ah Pina led the Tigers with 23 points (8-for-14) and N'Dya Parks followed with 21 points (10-for-22). Ariel Perkins led RCC's rebounding effort with 10 rebounds.
Riverside boasted a better shooting percentage, shooting 41.0 percent from the floor and 46.7 percent from three-point range, but Cypress took advantage of 18 turnovers and out-rebounded the Tigers 46-to-32 to pull away with the win.
The Tigers close out the season on the road, heading next to Santa Ana College on Thursday at 6 p.m.
