Riverside City College picked up its first Orange Empire Conference win Wednesday night, powering through to a 74-45 victory over Saddleback College.
The Tigers improve to 10-12 on the year and 1-5 in conference, while the Bobcats slip to 7-14 overall, 0-6 in the OEC.
Three Tigers finished the night in double figures, led by Nave'ah Pina with 22 points (8-for-16). Talia Washington chipped in 19 points (9-for-18), while Ariel Perkins grabbed a double-double with 12 points (4-for-11) and 13 rebounds. N'Dya Parks posted 11 boards to help the Tigers outrebound the Bobcats 67-to-53.
RCC dominated the paint and scored 32 points in the key, while also locking down defensively and limiting Saddleback to a 16.0 shooting percentage.
Riverside looks to take momentum on the road as it heads to Fullerton for a 5 p.m. tip off on Friday.
