Condit Paces Men’s XC in First Place Finish at Golden West Invitational

The Riverside City College men's cross country team traveled to Huntington Beach, CA on Friday morning to face off against tough two-year competition at the Golden West Invitational. The Tigers cruised to a first-place finish for the first time this season.

Riverside had four runners land in the top-10 and eight runners land in the top-20.

Leading the way for the third-consecutive week was sophomore Gavyn Condit. After being the highest placing community college runner last week, he went on to impress once again with his second-consecutive third-place finish. He earned a mark of 20:42.48 to lead his squad.

Sophomore Raen Reyes followed just seconds behind after earning the fifth overall spot with a time of 21:05.56. Sophomore duo Gonzalo Sanchez and Kyle Reden finished in eighth and ninth place, respectfully. Sanchez clocked in a mark of 21:29.82, while Reden cruised to the finish line with a clip reading 21:33.23.

Vincent Navarro (21:39.65), David Rush (21:43.56) and Nicandro Rosas (21:45.20) all finished consecutively to take up the 12th, 13th and 14th spots, while Salvador Avila placed 16th overall with a mark of 21:52.08.
