
Tigers Ready to Take on 3C2A State Championship Meet
Riverside City College saw several swimmers and relay teams qualify for the 3C2A State Championship this week.
The Tigers qualified the 200 free relay with a seed time of 1:43.34, while the 400-yard medley relay qualified with a time of 4:15.08. The Tigers' 200-yard medley relay team also qualified with a time of 1:58.46, while RCC holds the ninth-best time (8:16.61) in the 800 free relay and sits 12th in the 400-yard free relay (3:50.03).
Nicole Robertson qualified to compete in three events: the 200-yard individual medley (2:19.77), the 400-yard individual medley (4:57.83), and the 200-yard butterfly (2:22.59).
Kaia Boone will also compete in multiple events, including the 200-yard individual medley with Robertson (2:22.16), the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.28), and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:36.05).
Samantha Thomas looks to challenge for the 50-yard freestyle (25.34 seconds), 100-yard free (55.28 seconds) and 200-yard free (2:05.65).
Isadora Taylor will compete in the 400-yard IM (4:54.95), 1650-yard free (19:30.68), and 200-yard butterfly (2:24.43).
Michelle Manookian rounds out the Tigers who qualified and will compete in both the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.20) and 200 fly (2:28.40).
The 3C2A State Championship is set to begin on Thursday at Santa Rosa Junior College and conclude on Saturday. Live results can be found HERE.
