
Riverside Has Solid First Day at 3C2A Championship
Riverside City College had a solid first day at the 3C2A Swim and Dive State Championship on Thursday.
Jessie Nelson posted a time of 2:15.39 in the 200-yard individual medley to secure a spot in the championship race later in the afternoon. In the finals, Nelson finished sixth overall to earn All-State honors after touching the wall in 2:15.09.
Annabella Storar opened with a time of 5:21.93 in the 500-yard free prelims to earn her spot in the championship race. She shaved almost two seconds off her prelim time to finish 11th overall with a time of 5:19.31.
RCC also posted a time of 1:46.70 in the 200-yard free relay and finished the 400-yard medley relay in 4:19.46.
