
Riverside Takes Third at OEC Championship
Riverside City College took third as a team at the Orange Empire Conference Championship Saturday afternoon, finishing with 567 team points.
The Tigers' 400-yard free relay team (Zekiah Serrano, Yousef Nahali, Marius Mora, and Lennon Franklin) capped off the meet on a high note, beating its competition by a full second and finishing in three minutes, 3.52 seconds for the championship.
Gerardo Garcia finished runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly, posting a time of 1:59.88.
Serrano grabbed third place in the 100-yard free after clocking in at 45.85 seconds. Nahali was right behind him in fifth, touching the wall in 45.92 seconds.
Riverside now waits to find out who has qualified for the 3C2A State Championship in May, which will be announced early next week.
