Bio

In the 2015-16 academic season, Doug Finfrock begins his third campaign as the Riverside City College head coach of the women's water polo and women's swimming and diving programs.

In spring 2015, Finfrock guided the RCC women's swimming and diving squad to a 4-2 won-lost record in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) dual meets, a third-place finish in the OEC Championships (508 points) and an 18th-place finish at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Championships.

In 2014, RCC posted a second-place finish in the OEC Swimming and Diving Championships (678 points) and an eighth-place finish (187 points) at the CCCAA Championships.

Prior to the 2013-14 campaign, Finfrock had served as the as the assistant coach for RCC Women’s Water Polo for ten years and six years as the RCC head men’s swimming and diving coach.  Finfrock is a former RCC water polo player (goalie) and swimmer, and was an All-America selection.

Finfrock has been coaching water polo 17 years and was the director of a local club for seven years overseeing nine teams and five age levels. 

Since he has been with RCC water polo, the women’s program has won four state titles (2005, 2007, 2010, 2011), eight straight Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Titles, and five straight Regional Titles.  The program has a record of 279-28 over the last ten seasons under then-head coach David Almquist and current head coach Finfrock.

With the RCC men’s swimming and diving program, Finfrock was named OEC Coach of the Year in 2010 and has produced 26 All-America selections.

Finfrock earned his Bachelor’s Degree from UC Irvine in history in 2003 and while there, started both years for the Anteaters' water polo team.  He went on to earn his Master’s Degree from Azusa Pacific in physical education in 2008.
