Riverside Qualifies Three Individuals, Four Relays for 3C2A Championship
Riverside City College saw three individuals and four relay teams qualify for the 3C2A State Championship Meet next week.
The Tigers qualified relay teams in the 200-yard free relay (17th seed), 400-yard medley relay (13th seed), 800-yard free relay (ninth seed), and 400-yard free relay (13th seed).
Both Jessie Nelson and Annabella Storar qualified for three individual events, while Nicole Robertson earned her spot in two individual races.
Nelson boasts the third-fastest time in the State in the 400-yard individual medley (4:46.08) and sits fifth overall in the 200-yard IM (2:12.53). She also qualified in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.78).
Storar has two top-10 times heading into the State Championship, sitting sixth in the 1650-yard free (18:36.88) and eighth in the 500-yard free (5:20.39). She also qualified in the 200-yard free (2:00.41).
Robertson picked up the 11th seed in the 400-yard IM (5:03.72) and the 12th seed in the 200-yard butterfly (2:23.24).
Orange Coast College will host the three-day meet on May 2-4.
