Men’s Tennis Tabbed Fifth Seed in SoCal Regionals
The Riverside City College men's tennis team has earned the fifth seed in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern Regional playoffs and will travel to San Diego, CA to take on the fourth-seeded San Diego City College Knights.
The first round of the Southern California Regionals is slated for Tuesday, April 5 on the road at 2 p.m.
The Tigers were one of two Orange Empire Conference (OEC) schools to reach the postseason as Irvine Valley earned the third overall seed.
The team finished 9-6 overall which encompassed a 6-2 conference clip. They earned four straight set sweep wins with three coming in conference action.
The Tigers are led by freshman Rafael Rullan who has acted as Riverside's top dog throughout the season. His twin brother, freshman Carlos Rullan, will likely team up with him to comprise the top doubles tandem while also playing the fourth position in singles.
Freshman Luca Braan follows as he Tiger's second player after having a strong inaugural campaign. Him and freshman Felicien Adam will make up the second doubles team.
Freshman Maurice Nolan and freshman Anant Bhika round out the Tigers lineup.
