Men’s Tennis Wins Third-Straight Conference Match

The Riverside City College men's tennis team is on a roll in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play. The Tigers routed the Fullerton College Hornets, 9-0, after winning five of the six singles matches in straight sets and sweeping doubles play.

Freshman Rafael Rullan had the most exciting match of the day as he won his third-straight singles match at the top of the pack in a third-set tiebreaker. He dropped the first set in a close 7-6 battle, back went on to win the final two sets 6-2, 10-6.  He teamed up with his brother, freshman Carlos Rullan, as the top singles player and won 8-4.

Freshman tandem Anant Bhika and Maurice Nolan held down the number two doubles slot and won 8-2, while sophomore Noah Canones and Elliot Burer rounded out the doubles action with an 8-1 win.

C. Rullan wn his singles match as the number four player n dominant fashion, 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Luca Braan held down the second singles position and reeled in a 6-3, 6-1 win.
