Men’s Tennis Snaps Three Game Skid, Defeats Santa Barbara

The Riverside City College men's tennis team hosted the Santa Barbara City College Vaqueros on Wednesday evening in hopes of snapping an uncharacteristic three-game skid. After trailing 2-1 following doubles, the Tigers came roaring back to take five out of the six singles matches leading to a 6-3 win.

Freshman duo Felicien Adam and Luca Braan were the lone victors in the doubles arena with a number two win at 8-5.

Four singles matches were completed in straight sets with sophomore number one Rafael Rullan setting the tone with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Adam continued his strong play with a 6-1, 6-4 win.

Sophomore Carlos Rullan followed with a 6-4, 6-0 win, while freshman Maurice Nolan completed a 6-4, 6-1 victory.

The most entertaining win came at the number six singles featuring freshman Anat Bhika. The matched traveled into a deep tiebreaker after opening set scores of 5-7, 7-6. He was able to grab hold of a lead in the ladder part of the set leading to a 15-13 win.
