Evan Parry Named Head Men’s Tennis Coach

Evan Parry Named Head Men’s Tennis Coach

It was recently announced that Evan Parry will take over the Riverside City College men's tennis head coaching position effective immediately. The men's tennis program begins its season on Tuesday, January 28 against the Mt. San Jacinto College Eagles.

Parry is no stranger to the coaching ranks as he has held numerous head coaching position as seen in the Director of Tennis at iTennis Riverside and the Head Girls Coach at Woodcrest Christian High School from 2016-19. In 2018, he led Woodcrest to CIF Division 5 Finals earning the program an Ambassador League Championship. Furthermore, he acted as an assistant coach at Point Loma Nazarene, Tabor College and Malone College where held recruiting duties and served several nationally ranked players.

While holding multiple coaching positions, Parry has acted an Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Residential Life at the Art Institute of California along with the Resident Director at Point Loma Nazarene.  

Parry will take over a program that has seen strong success in the past two season. The Tigers have compiled an overall record of 30-12 (19-3 in 2018) in the two previous campaigns while holding a top-10 rankings. They have reached the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Regional playoffs both years and advanced to the semifinal round in 2018.  Furthermore, Riverside has earned two-consecutive Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Most Valuable Player Awards (Kayne Trustfull '18 & Gleb Mityurin '19).
