After earning an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Championship earlier this month, the Riverside City College men's tennis team entered into the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Regional playoffs as the number three seed. With the high seed, they earned a home match and played host to the Grossmont College Griffiths this Tuesday. The Tigers had no problem with the Griffiths as they defeated them handily by the final score of 5-0.

The Tigers set the tone with a doubles sweep beginning an 8-3 win from the top team comprised of Kayne Trustfull and Thomas Pidoux. Sami Akouz and Thierry van Os followed with an 8-4 victory as the number two squad, while Miles Clark and Elie Noe-Nicolay acted as the number three team and earned a 8-1 victory.

van Os kicked off the strong singles play at the number six singles player and swept his opponent 6-0, 6-0. Trustfull then capped off the victory with a 6-0, 6-1 at the top singles position to lead the Tigers to the victory.

After earning five points in playoff action, the games are automatically suspended. However, Riverside led in each singles match once play was capped to prove their dominance.
