Men’s Tennis Pushes Streak to Nine Games in Conference Victory

The Riverside City College men's tennis team has been on a tear so far this season by hauling in eight-straight victories entering into an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) showdown against the Fullerton College Hornets on Thursday afternoon. The Tigers continued their upward trend by sweeping the Tigers by the final score of 9-0 while not dropping a single set.

Freshman Kayne Trusfull (Amsterdam, Netherlands) made easy work of his opponent at the top singles position, defeating him 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Thomas Pidoux (Perpignon, France) followed with a win at the number to slot with the final count reading 6-0, 6-3. Sophomore Thierry van Os (Spijkenisse, Netherlands) earned an impressive 6-0, 6-0 victory at the number six position.

Trustfull and Pidoux made quick work of their doubles opponent as they hauled in an 8-3 win.

The Tigers (9-0, 1-0 OEC) will continue conference action on Tuesday, February 27th in a showdown against Saddleback College at 2 p.m. at home.
