Men’s Tennis Defeats Hope International, 8-1

The Riverside City College men's tennis team looked to keep their winning streak alive as they hosted Hope International on Tuesday afternoon at home. The Tigers continued to perform at a high level by defeating Hope with ease by the final score of 8-1.

Kayne Trustfull paced the Tigers at number one singles by defeating his opponent in three sets by the final scores of 6-2, 2-6, 10-3. Elie-Noe Nicolay followed him at the number three with a two-set victory by the final count of 7-6 (6), 6-0. Thierry van Os followed with the most impressive win at the number six with his final scores reading 6-0, 6-3.

The Tigers swept doubles play with Thomas Pidoux and Trustfull winning at the number one position, 9-7. Miles Clark and Nicolay followed at the number three with an 8-4 victory.

The Tigers (8-0) will host the Fullerton College Hornets on Thursday, February 22nd in their Orange Empire Conference (OEC) opener. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
