Bio
Geno Ramsey joined the Riverside City College football coaching staff in 2023, serving as the Wide Receivers Coach and Pass Game Coordinator. He is a veteran football coach with a proven track record of success at the junior college and Division I levels. With over two decades of coaching experience, Ramsey has developed a reputation for building elite position groups, crafting explosive offensive systems, and helping student-athletes reach their full potential on the field and in life.
Since joining RCC, Ramsey has helped guide the Tigers to multiple conference championships, state title appearances, and national recognition. His work with the wide receiver unit has directly contributed to RCC's high-powered offense, routinely ranking among the best in the nation in both yards and scoring. Under Ramsey's leadership, several receivers have earned scholarships and made successful transitions to four-year programs.
Before RCC, Ramsey made his mark at Mt. San Jacinto College, where he spent nearly a decade in multiple key roles, including Assistant Coach, Associate to the Head Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Director of Strength and Conditioning. As the Defensive Backs Specialist, he helped build a Top 5 nationally ranked defense and a Top 10 unit in interceptions in 2015. Over his time at MSJC, Ramsey successfully developed and transferred over 35 defensive backs to Division I universities. In 2017, he transitioned to coaching wide receivers, helping the team improve its offensive scoring average from 18.6 points per game to an explosive 47 points per game, which played a major role in the team’s SCFA Division Championship in 2021.
Ramsey's experience also includes time at the University of New Mexico, where he contributed to the football program at the Division I FBS level. There, he gained valuable experience in a high-performance environment, working alongside top-tier coaches and athletes while further sharpening his skills in player development and game planning.
Throughout his career, Ramsey has consistently demonstrated a unique combination of technical expertise, leadership, and mentorship at every stop. He's known for his data-driven approach to recruiting and game strategy, his commitment to athlete development, and his ability to build strong, lasting relationships with players, families, and fellow coaches.
Ramsey holds a Master of Science in educational technology and a Bachelor of Science in computer and information sciences from Post University. He is also a devoted family man, partner to Maddie, and proud father to Ariana and Jace, who continue to fuel his passion and purpose every day.
