Tyrone Marshall Named SCFA Central Week Nine Special Teams Player of the Week
For the seventh time this season, the No. 2 Riverside City College football team has seen a Tiger earn Southern California Football Association (SCFA) Central Division Player of the Week honors. This week, freshman kick returner Tyrone Marshall (Los Angeles, CA) has been named the week nine special teams award winner after putting on a show during a 45-42 victory over El Camino.
Marshall shined in the return game by returning five kicks for 184 total yards to average 36.8 yards-per-return. His efforts were highlighted by a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the third quarter to put the Tigers up by 15 points.
His five returns for 184 yards both act as career-high marks. His previous marks were three returns for a total of 85 yards. He topped his previous career-high return of 35 yards that occurred in a 28-26 victory over Bakersfield on September 23rd.
