Riverside STUNT Splits on the Day
The Riverside City College STUNT team opened their 2019 campaign on Saturday, February 9 by facing in off against Vanguard and Concordia University.
RCC vs. Vanguard
The Tigers were looking for revenge against division rivals Vanguard University. It started as a tight match with a halftime score of 4-6. The Tigers pulled away in the third quarter earning all four points for tumbling and held the lead throughout the rest of the game. In the end, the Tigers proved to be too much for the Lions with a commanding win of 15-10 over Vanguard.

RCC vs. Concordia
Riverside was leading 3-2 at the end of quarter one, and tied 5-5 at halftime. The Tigers pulled away in quarter three and entered the fourth and final quarter with an 8-7 lead. Coach Fawcett threw a coach's challenge to initiate an officials review, but due to an officials equipment malfunction the challenge was unable to be reviewed and Concordia retained the point. The Tigers made a few errors in round 1 of quarter 4 which secured the win for the Eagles with a 12-15 victory. The Tigers are looking forward to a rematch against Concordia on March 17th which will be the last game of their regular season play.

Catch RCC Stunt at their home tournament, the "Big Orange Battle", on Friday, March 8 in Wheelock Gym. They will face two Division I teams consisting of CBU at 4pm and UC Davis at 6p. Admission is FREE to RCC students with a valid RCC ID.
